Mark Stokes earned his Certified Nurse Aide certification in 1993 while pursuing pre-med studies at Utah State University. Following his counselor’s advice to engage with patients and confirm his passion for medicine, he discovered a deep joy in visiting patients in their homes and helping them remain independent. The meaningful connections he formed, especially with historical patients and veterans, resonated strongly with his background as a history major.
Spending 45 minutes to an hour with each patient was immensely rewarding. His dedication led to an offer for an area manager position at CNA, opening doors to administration roles across multiple companies. However, he recognized opportunities to improve patient care and eventually transitioned into strategic planning, a role he held until 2006.
In collaboration with his wife Lisa, a nurse, Mark decided to return to healthcare from the ground level. On November 1, 2006, they left their positions working for others and launched PrimRose Homecare & Hospice. His commitment to helping people remain in their homes continues to drive the business today. When patients reach out, they receive personalized, concierge-level care, which is a reflection of Mark’s genuine passion for serving the community, friends, and neighbors.
